Stimied by his success in defeating paranormal adversaries, his spirit enemies have hired a Mafia hit team to take him out. Little do the criminal humans know that they are not just tackling Donahey but Crobeau, his witch owner, the Pooka sheriff, and a Baba Yaga outhouse.

The Kitsune Wedding is a new eighteen-page prose chapbook telling the story of Father Donahey, hero of the book Winterset, stories of pixies, demons, and fiends coming up against the Aztec Goddess of Alcohol. Disguised as his housekeeper, she tries to defeat the Priest by pushing him back into alcoholism. Simultaneous with the attempt, a local Marine brings back his Japanese fiancé for a wedding financed by his bride’s Kitsune (spirit foxes) family. Donahey, riding the sheriff in his Pooka coal-black horse persona, is pursued by the goddess and her minions but ends up crashing the wedding. Surprise and shock all around.

“The Mall Maul” is a new forty-six-page Rod Teigler story based on the novel Free Fire Zone. The ex-soldier and host to a second berserker personality finds himself trapped in the Mall when cat-like creatures from another dimension invade to kidnap humans as meat animals. Rod and Shelly, the local owner of an Asian art shop, find common ground to attack and defeat the mob of carnivores in a battle that begins in the central mall plaza, continues down the walkway, and ends in Victoria’s Secret.

“Alien Moon” is a new thirty-two-page Rod Teigler story based on the novel Free Fire Zone. A mysterious government agency hires the ex-soldier and host to a second berserker personality to investigate the outbreak of a deadly virus in Africa. His daughter, who has inherited his dual personality flaw, is kidnapped by aliens and taken to their secret base on the dark side of the moon. She escapes and runs amuck in the giant conservatory used by the invaders to hold specimens of the flora and fauna of Earth and their home planet. Rod assembles a commando force to rescue his daughter, resulting in a running firefight in the enemy’s base.

“KU” is a new book of sixty-eight poems describing the continuing evolution of the popular haiku poem in five chapters. Beginning with the traditional 5.7.5 American haiku, the book progresses to the senyru and freeform versions, to the recent introduction of ‘genre’ poems, scfsiku, fantasyku, and horrorku.
